Rabbi David Shneyer |

Reb David is the the lead educator of the Martin Buber Youth Kibbutz. He is also a member of Rabbis for Human Rights, and the spiritual leader of Am Kolel, and the Kehila Chadasha community in Bethesda. He is married to Diane and has two sons, Aaron and Dani who are also lovers and practitioners of Martin Bubers’ teachings. |

Mat Tonti |

Mat is the director of the Martin Buber Youth Kibbutz. Mat has been an experiential educator for the past twelve years. He grew up at Habonim camp Moshava in Maryland, has worked at five different camps, went on to work as an environmental educator for such organizations as the Teva Learning center, USY, BBYO, the Shalom Nature Center, and the Student Conservation Association (SCA). Mat also loves playing music, especially as a songleader, and spends most of his freetime drawing comics. And he is supremely excited to become a father in the next few weeks. |

Julie Tonti |
|
Julie has a love for teaching and a passion for plants. She can often be found chatting it up with the various growing things found in the garden. She has been a teacher in various modes, from camp, to outdoor educator to her current position as a Judaics teacher at the Charles E.Smith Upper Jewish Day School. Julie will be an integral part of the Buber staff as educator and as mother of the soon-to-be-born JuJu Tonti. (Actual name not yet know, JuJu is just a nickname until the kid is born)
